AUSTRALIA COUNCIL FOR THE ARTS

Positive Solutions was commissioned to assist the Australia Council for the Arts with the following projects:

• The development of a new leveraging strategy, to encourage increased public and private investment in the arts. This involved research and analysis of recent Australia Council initiatives, identification of best practice fundraising models, risk assessment, and identification of collaboration opportunities both in Australia and internationally.
• An evaluation of the Emerging Leaders Development Program to review its success over a three-year period, and inform future planning of the program. The review included surveys and interviews with participants and mentors from the program, and industry consultation with employers of past participants.
• An evaluation of the Music Board’s funding of festivals in order to inform improvements in Council’s support for festivals and key events. This project involved extensive industry consultation with festivals, composers and other key stakeholders and the drafting of Options and Recommendations for Council.
