Futures Workshop and Board Review

Positive Solutions conducted a workshop to examine possible future directions for The Queensland Orchestra (TQO). Preparation included a review of global orchestral developments, including interviews with key TQO stakeholders, UK, US and Australian orchestra personnel. Queensland Symphony Orchestra merged with Queensland Philharmonic Orchestra, to form The Queensland Orchestra (TQO) in 2001, and in 2009 the orchestra again became known as the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.

Director David Fishel was later invited to undertake a board review of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra (QSO). This included a review of the current governance arrangements, evaluation of the board’s performance, capacity and culture, and provided a detailed list of governance dimensions.
